KC3.net Approved for Government Gateway Alliance Partnership
Added: (Thu Sep 18 2008)
KC3.net is pleased to announce that it has been formally approved as a level 1 E-Delivery Team (EDT) partner within the Government Gateway Alliance programme (GGAP). The EDT Team manages the implementation of the Government’s Transformational Government Agenda of bringing together public services for citizens into one place, The Government Gateway.
KC3.net has experience of the delivery of E-Government solutions extending back to 1999, including the pilot system for online farm payment schemes and development and national roll out of the Defra Farming Surveys Portal (2000-2004). Our initial pilots and subsequent national roll out were early examples of providing new efficiencies for government through the effective use of online technologies. Our consultation with the user group (farmers) ensured that the systems were developed with the users in mind; this approach resulted in some of the most successful E-Government solutions to date. A remarkable 15% of all completions were achieved online. Only 1% of online users stated a preference to use a paper based version of the form in future and 98% commented that it was easy to complete these complex forms online.
KC3.net has gone on to work with many local government agencies and delivery partners such as Ufi and EnCams.
The GGAP objective is to establish and formalise key partnerships with IT and business suppliers, to allow them to integrate with and deliver the Team’s common infrastructure products and any supporting solutions direct to their new and existing customer base within Government and to assist the EDT in the implementation of the Transformational Government Agenda.
Quote: Damien Kennedy, Head of Business Partnerships, EDT Team, “I am pleased to advise you that KC3.net have been formally approved as partners of EDT within the Government Gateway Alliance programme. I very much look forward to developing a long and fruitful business relationship”
