IBN Lokmat celebrates Republic Day with an exclusive interaction between President Pratibha Patil and India’s young citizens
Pune, 25th January 2012: For the first time ever, witness a televised interaction of children with our President Pratibha Patil on the grand occasion of the country’s 63rd Republic day. The children came up with the most innovative questions for the first woman President of the country, some based on her views about the country and world, and others about her personal life. The first citizen of India spoke about various aspects of her life- from her childhood aspirations, her hobbies to her vision for the country. The interaction also included some social stigmas including gender inequality, dowry and girl child which have affected the country to a large extent. The President has, for the first time revealed some personal facts of her life such as her favorite subject in school and her passion for a particular sport.
