Pressbox (Press Release) -
On 29th June 2006, at 6pm, Ambassadors and their representatives from Embassies all over London will attend the launch of a new programme by AIESEC, the 55 year old International Youth development Organisation present in 84 countries. Bill Rammell MP, Under-Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs will open the Programme Launch at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The Embassies will be gathering to find out more about how to create 'World Citizens' and in particular the future Ambassadors for their countries. The Ambassadorship programme aims to expose the youth of today to international relations, and foster their personal development, allowing them to take up positions of international leadership in the future. The programme also aims to foster links between embassies, and develop a collective focus on developing the youth of their respective countries, to build a better future.
AIESEC specializes in operating an International Youth exchange programme and will now be bringing youth into London to work in their country's embassy as well as working with the other young 'Global Ambassadors' on various initiatives, including working with their Diaspora, interacting with local schools in London and fostering links between businesses in the UK and their country.
