A Double Blind, Randomized, Placebo controlled Proof of Concept clinical trial was carried out as per ICH-GCP guidelines.

Treatment duration for this trial was for 84 days and thereafter patients were observed for 46 days (Withdrawal Phase). This Study showed a statistically significant (p<0.01) decrease in pain and stiffness as assessed through both WOMAC and VAS and as compared to placebo. The pain relieving efficacy of E-OA-07 was observed as early/ initially as on Day 42, was statistically superior over placebo at Day 84 and remained consistently significant up to the end of withdrawal phase / end of study (Day 130).
