Robin Birkett has taken over the role of key contact for the turnaround market at leading asset funder, State Securities.
Robin joined the company in May 2002 as a consultant, assisting with strategy and sales management controls. November 2002 saw him join the board of directors with responsibility for marketing and also business development through professional contacts, including accountants, I.P’s, lawyers, banks, factoring companies and other funders.
In his new role, Robin will be looking to build relationships with turnaround professionals and will attend professional regional meetings and networking events, including those organised by the Turnaround Management Association and R3.
State Securities is well known for its innovative approach and has a reputation for providing fast and professional support to the more ‘challenging’ companies. Commercial funding solutions offered include asset finance and re-finance, commercial mortgages and funding via the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme - facilities that are particularly appropriate for the turnaround market, as well as for new starts, MBOs and MBIs.
Robin commented, “In my time with State Securities, I have been impressed by the skill and ability to do deals and to find a workable solution. I look forward to introducing our unique methodology to the professional market”.
Before joining State Securities, Robin was a divisional managing director within Lloyds TSB. He brings to the role a wealth of experience of both corporate and consumer finance, gained through over thirty years in the industry.
