MILLENNIUM HIRES HEVEY AS SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER

New York, New York, January 19, 2004 --

Ron Hevey has joined Millennium Investments as a senior portfolio manager and investment director.

Mr. Hevey was formerly head of arbitrage trading for the Stafford subsidiary of Toronto Dominion. He was previously a managing director at Nomura International and an executive director at UBS Warburg Dillon Read.

Hedge funds are attracting droves of star employees from bulge bracket Wall Street firms, luring them with some significant benefits. Less bureaucracy. More freedom. More financial upside. The chance to build a business. Hedge funds have drawn talent from across the board -- sales, trading, research, and even banking. The brain drain has not gone unnoticed. In some ways, hedge funds are doing to investment banks what investment banks did to commercial banks years ago.

Millennium Investments is a $4 billion hedge fund based in New York.
