Pressbox (Press Release) -
Education company Ordinary Joe has launched it's first offering based around the owners concern at the lack of financial literacy and the ever growing mountain of personal debt among the public.
Using The Ordinary Joes Financial Freedom blog on eblogger, owner Andrew Leatherland aims to outline how through personal experience with debt such problems can be overcome by anyone with the will to change.
The company in trying to give people a solid knowledge base has released it's first report "Why you have to take charge of your financial future before someone else ruins it for you". The report highlights how our assumptions that government and banks are looking after our financial future could be on shaky ground based on evidence from everyday news stories.
The report is planned to be a series of first line approaches to allow those with debt or no provision for their financial future to understand why they need to act and more importantly to show they can do it.
Speaking about the launch owner Andrew Leatherland commented:
"Too many are in debt or have no provision made for the future because they think understanding their money is beyond them. It's simply not true but more needs to be done, especially in schools - and quickly. Too many have simply switched off because they think the government is doing a good job with their taxes and I don't want them to wait until retirement before they find out how wrong that was".
He added
"What I want is for the visitors to the blog to learn how to resolve their debt issue themselves and to acknowledge how their behaviour got them into debt. Without this acknowledgement they will simply repeat the same behaviour and make their problems seem inescapable"
