AsiaUniversalBank is declared an associate client of the Visa International Payment System

Pressbox (Press Release) - Bishkek, June 26, 2009 – AsiaUniversalBank and Visa declared the bank an associate client of the Visa international payment system. In the near future the Bank will be able to offer Visa cards to its customers in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Customers of AsiaUniversalBank, both individuals and legal entities, will benefit from these new opportunities to use plastic credit/debit cards. Whilst traveling abroad the clients will have a chance to see for themselves the advantages of the Visa card, when making cash withdrawals and payments for goods and services. Additionally, Visa will enable AUB customers to take advantage of the numerous banking services available to Visa cardholders in other countries, such as online shopping.

Cooperation with Visa will contribute to the promotion of automated payroll systems and the use of electronic cash cards in the country: now companies with representative offices abroad will be able to use the international payment system for salaries and credit cards payments.

Acceptance of Visa cards in ATMs and in the AsiaUniversalBank’s branches will provide added value and convenience for foreign citizens visiting the Kyrgyz Republic, whether it be for business or tourism. These additional financial services offered jointly by AUB and Visa must surely make a contribution to tourism development in the country.
