iDeduce - SMS Alerts For Busy Crime Fans

Added: (Tue Apr 29 2008)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Ever played 'Cops & Robbers' in the playground when you were younger? Those of us who remember the likes of Quincy, whilst growing up in the 80s, thought this new angle towards solving crime truly amazing. We thought cop shows were getting more savvy. Today's equivalent is simply mind blowing. With the ever popular CSI franchise and NCIS, us civilians are starting to see just how integral information and advanced technology is at assisting law enforcement in the 21st century.

Thanks to such programmes there has been a significant rise in the number of people wanting a career within the criminology/forensic sector, such that it has made fighting crime almost sexy. We now know getting results and bringing justice is more than car chases and shouting FREEZE. (And who knew that the so-called 'geeks' with the white lab coats and goggles would turn out to be the true heroes?)

A new way of appreciating the marvels of science and justice comes in the form of a new telecommunication service, for crime dramas such as CSI, NCIS and Law & Order, etc.

Due to launch May 2008, AFV Group, a UK based leisure and entertainment web based company, has created a fan service*, delivering quick shots of information, with a dark twist. It is different from any other in that it also provides an insite into the real duties carried out by real forensic technicians, so true devoted fans, fascinated with the pursuit of justice, will not only receive interesting entertainment features about characters and sub-plots, but also receive an insight into the role forensic science plays within the real world.

Move Over Miss Marple
These alerts are a great way to 'keep in the loop' of one of the most popular TV genres today, with the interactive technology of a mobile phone. There will also be competitions, quizzes to exercise the mind, as well as practical safety advice and tips on human behaviour, such as how to tell if someone is lying, along with other exciting features in the pipeline for TV buffs to flex their detecting skills.

The alert is a premium rate SMS service, which is paid for by the subscriber via reverse billing. This SMS service will send 1 message every day direct to your mobile and fans are free to stop receiving messages at any time. UK fans can currently sign up pre launch, to receive this service by emailing webmaster@afvgroup.co.uk or calling 0700 580 3577 and supplying their name and mobile phone number.

Please note that AFV in no way are affiliated to CSI New York, the cast, CBS or any other stations. This is just a service for the fans to enjoy! The new service is scheduled to become live in May 2008.

* Available to those 16+ yrs old.
