Pressbox (Press Release) -
Bronx, NY natives Lokixximo knows that being named the next "reggaeton
stars comes with unreal pressure and expectations that only a few people
can ever realize, but they have another mentality. , according to Bonao and
Jose Josexx, the worst has already happened at their beginning of their
career and the way they see it, and according to statistics, they wasn't
even expected to make it this far in reggaeton, just because they from New
York, let alone rise to the level of prominence on the underground that they
currently hold, that has some of the industry hottest producers and label
executives checking for their next move, "Los Locos Tambien Comen".
"Doing Reggaeton is something that comes naturally for us, we didn't just jump onthis genre because it's was blowing up, we been doing this for a long time,it's like eating rice and beans everyday , it's what we do on a daily basis, everybody that we associate with got the same drive and passion towards thesame goal, in this game there are no obstacles, our daily grind put us inthe situation where we can grow as a team toguether at the same time keepproviding the fans with consistent new bangers through out the year .
Despite their underground status, Lokixximo display a growth in their work
by varying the subject matter and expanding their storytelling in their
music. In their latest track "Duermete mi ina" they provide a glimpse of
the duo who someday may actually be one of the "best reggaeton duo in the
industry.", "Being independent the budget is not big enough to do a major release. Many people are wondering how are putting this album together?
Are people doing favors for us? the truth is we got a lot of big dogs behind our project that recognizes our Talent. MLC Entertainment respect our passion and the ideas we got.
At the end of the day, everybody is gonna eat. Either way, doesnt matter to us because were gonna win together. Regardless, this project got all the Ingredients to sell to the expectations, the fans are always going to be there, and we got more than what is needed to put out music for decades.
What does it mean when an album drops that doesnt feature Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderon or Don Omar? It means that Lokixximo is going to take center stage with one of the years best releases, not because of a wave of reggaeton banger tracks through out the year, but because they had developed an entire persona, an incredible movement, a new creation that seems fully-developed and fascinating, and all they need is the bare reggaeton drums and melodies over which they expresses their passion.
