The good luck charm

Ghosthunter Dean Maynard is fast getting the tag of being the person to have around if you need a curse breaking or a change of luck with your team.
It all started in April 2005 when he was asked by some Sunderland fans to look into a curse that fell on the club after striker Stephen Elliot saw a Ghost at the Clubs training ground.
From going 11 matches unbeaten they lost their next home match 2-1 to Reading ( Deans hometown ) lost all three keepers to injury and drew with Ipswich after missing a penalty and letting in an equaliser in the 92 minute.
When Dean got involved on the Wednesday before there next home match he was asked Live on a national radio station whether he believed the curse was broken and would Sunderland win, He confidently said "yes" they would...they went on to win 2-1 but maybe his "good luck" did help as Leicester had a perfectly good goal disallowed, Sunderland also sealed promotion that same day as other results went there way.
Not long after the Sunderland story Dean was approached by a fan of the Chicago White Sox American baseball team.
There run of bad luck had lasted over 87 years.
In 1919, eight Chicago White Sox players were banned for life for throwing the World Series. Their team was cursed and they did not win the season finale again until 2005....the year Dean was asked to help.
His next case was at the start of the 2005/2006 season Reading lost their first match of the season at home to Plymouth, that night Dean was asked to "help" by close friends who are Reading supporters, Dean "Jokingly" said Reading would not lose another match that season...well since that day they have only lost one other league match and to date are 16 points clear and 1 win away from the Premiership.
Now his next case is with Darlington F.C who with only one win in 7 games need to pick up to have a chance of getting into the play off`s, now Dean has been contacted by Tim West of Alpha F.M and asked to help starting at home to Lincoln City on Saturday April 1st, April Fools day .....Dean`s birthday.
If Dean pulls this one off maybe he should travel with the England squad for the World Cup.
