Pressbox (Press Release) -
High definition TV or in short HD TV marked evolution in broadcasting with a transition from analog to digital broadcasting. When it comes to the cable TV, providers of these kinds of services offer a HD cable TV service to about 90% of their customers, especially ones who live in larger cities.
However, make no mistake by confusing a digital cable with HD cable TV. It is correct that all the channels of HD cable are digital, but not all digital channels are high definition ones. Having a 'digital cable' in most cases means that the quality of picture will be a bit better than the regular cable can offer and that you will get more channels available, but it has nothing to do with the true HDTV.
Check with your cable provider if they have HD cable TV in offer. If they do then you will most likely have to upgrade the cable box you have to the one that is HDTV capable. Many new HDTVs feature a built-in digital cable television tuner. This TV tuner will let cable subscribers watch unscrambled cable TV channels without the need to use a set-top box.
