Using a wand his grandfather had for many years, they cross to the magic world of Lanomawood (The Land of the magic wood) where they encounter many different people and characters including a wise old man, a wizen old tree and a beautiful teenage girl with magical powers. An evil wizard rules the land and for two thousand years, since throwing the wand into our world, nobody in Lanomawood has aged. The old wise man hails James as their liberator and tells him he is the one to challenge and defeat the evil wizard.


About the Author:

Lino Omoboni is a professional actor living in Hammersmith, England and has written other books and several short stories. His first book is called “Melissa Greentree and the Inca’s Treasure” and the second book will be called “Melissa Greentree and the conquest of Tenochtitlan (Mexico City)”. Lino is presently concentrating on the Blue Wand books, with this being the first in the trilogy, followed by “Invasion” and then “Farewell”. The short stories that Lino has written include “The Lily People”, “The Challenge” and “The Pin People”. All of Lino’s stories are adventurous, with an educational touch.

"The wise tree spoke to the ghost of the old man whilst the fairy and the caterpillar just listened. “So, what do you think of our young prince? The boy that has come to liberate our land, by fulfilling the prophesy.”

The ghost of the old wise man smiled. “I’m happy. He seems more capable than the old man we had some years ago, given a little more practise. Most of all, he’s a good young man.”

The fairy interrupted their conversation. “I think he’s cute.”

“You’ll have to fight Jasmine first!” Said the wise tree laughing at her and the old man’s ghost laughed as well.

The fairy was immutable. “I know that.”
The ghost of the old wise man looked serious. “He’ll have all our hopes going with him. May justice be on his side.”
