Added: (Sun Apr 21 2002)

Pressbox (Press Release) - APRIL 21, 20002. SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA. "Television Internet has been sold to venture capitalists" reveals Barth Silvermanarian [played by Kevin Deen] in this Tuesday night's episode of the new mega-hit online series "Sitcom, a sitcom". Last Tuesday's premiere of Anthony Kling's "Sitcom" notched record ratings for Television Internet. The new romantic comedy about the fictitious running of the network was the highest-rated new series premiere in the network's history seen in 2.1 million households worldwide.

"You know what venture capitalists, are right?" Silvermanarian asks boss Justin Chase [Allen Burns] this Tuesday night. "Sure. The mafia!" exclaims Chase.
The ratings for "Sitcom" are enormous not just for the net but even for broadcast television. For example, "Sitcom"'s 2.1 million opener compares to 3.2 million for MTV's premiere of "The Osbournes" in March.

"I think we might have caused a couple of meetings to be called," kids Kling who notes increased site traffic from studio ip addresses. "And since 'Sitcom' is doing so well, no one will be voted off next Tuesday's show," jokes Kling. Many have called "Sitcom" a show so good it could finish in the top ten of any network show; to no surprise, Kling confirmed that the network, which owns the series, has been in talks with at least one major network to bring the show to primetime.

Kling is the son of seven time Emmy nominated, two time Emmy Award winning writer/producer Woody Kling; collectively father-son have been attached to all six decades of television history with credits including "All in the Family", the "Carol Burnett Show" and "Maude" and two of the "Top 100 TV Shows of All Time" according to Variety.com.

Part two of the three-part series premiere of "Sitcom" aires this Tuesday at 8:00 PM US EST. Once aired, each episode of "Sitcom" is viewable for free 24/7 at televisioninternet.com using the Windows Media player for both modem and broadband users.
