Sunday Sessions Free Concerts at Broomfield Park, Palmers Green

Pressbox (Press Release) - Join us by the bandstand in the park for some great Free live music on Sunday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August 2012 from 1pm-5pm. Each week has a different vibe with Jazz, Indie Pop Rock, Funky Soul Pop and Blues played by fantastic local bands.

5th August 2012 : New Orleans Trad Jazz with the excellent musicianship of the Bear Cat Crawlers

12th August 2012 : Funky Soul Pop with the Lester Clayton Band back from supporting Ed Sheeran plus support.

19th August 2012 : Indie Pop Rock n Roll with Dixie back from supporting the Happy Mondays plus support.

26th August 2012 : Blues orientated music with RoXi and the Blue Cats with a mixture of covers and original songs from their new album plus support from Tim Milligan and guests.

Bring friends, family, pets, picnic, something to sit on (and a brolly just in case) for a chilled out family friendly afternoon supporting local musicians and charities in beautiful surroundings sponsored by London Borough of Enfield and Downs Sounds Studio. Refreshment tent will be provided by the Ruth Winston Centre on the 1st and 3rd week and a local childrens charity will be providing Face Painting on the 2nd and 4th week.

Solo/Duo artists welcome to get up and perform during the Open Mic Competition between 1-2pm on the 5th, 12th & 19th August 2012 (only two microphones available so ONE acoustic instrument or backing track on cd or mp3 player). Be there between noon - 12.30 to put your name down. Open Mic Final will be on the 26th August 2012. Winner will receive free rehearsal studio time at Downs Sounds Studios, New Southgate Industrial Park, New Southgate.
