FOR WEMBLEY SHOW

The biggest music retail show on earth returns to the world famous venue on
24th & 25th November when VIP Events present the 9th Wembley Music fair.

The following special guests will be at the event –
 Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Signing session 11am Sat 24 November.
 Vic Godard of Subway Sect. Signing session 11am Sun 25 November.
 Beatles expert Keith Badman signing copies of his Beatles book.
1pm – 3pm, Sun 25 November.
 Chris Welch, signing copies of his book on Led Zeppelin Manager Peter Grant.
1pm to 3pm Sat 24 November.
 A unique rock poster exhibition will also take place at the event, courtesy of Soho Music.

The fair takes place in Exhibition Hall Three that is bigger than Wembley Arena, and crammed full of music dealers that are travelling from ALL OVER EUROPE, USA, Brazil, Australia and even Croatia just to trade at this annual extravaganza. In addition, independent dealers from all over the UK will be in attendance.

The Wembley show has developed into a massive music retail show for the discerning music fan! Visitors will be able to grab CD’s at bargain prices, browse through the biggest selection of rare and deleted vinyl, buy out of print books, videos and posters, pick up autographs and memorabilia on their favourite bands along with concert programmes, badges, tour shirts …… the list is endless!

This year’s fair is the biggest yet, offering a feast of exhibitors selling everything from Presley to Indie, Beatles to Rave music, Fat Boy Slim to Progressive, Queen to Brit Pop, Kylie to Northern Soul, Rolling Stones to Reggae, Led Zep to Glam Rock, Oasis to Rock & Roll, The Manics to Heavy Metal, Robbie Williams to Punk, Madonna to Surf – the whole spectrum of popular music is at the event – AND IT’S ALL FOR SALE!.

MOJO Collections stand approx. 11am Sat 24th November.
Ian takes a break from the band’s hectic world tour to appear at the Wembley show and will sign records, CDs and tour posters for visitors. A competition will also take place to win copies of the recently released re mastered trilogy of Tull’s first three albums. In addition a lucky visitor will win tickets to the band’s show at Hammersmith Apollo the next day.
Jethro Tull are a unique phenomenon in popular music history. Their mix of hard rock, folk melodies, blues licks and surreal lyrics have given them 11 gold and five platinum albums.

Chris Welch (Led Zeppelin author)
MOJO Collections stand approx. 1pm Sat 24th November.
Chris will be signing copies of his book ‘Peter Grant: The Man Who Led Zeppelin’. Wrestler turned rock manager, the late Peter Grant made his name as the manager of Led Zeppelin, helping to turn them into rock’s biggest attraction by the mid Seventies.
Chris Welch is among the UK’s best-known music journalists. He has edited several major music magazines and has written numerous books on rock and pop, including biographies of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Yes, The Who, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Genesis and Peter Gabriel.

Vic Godard (Subway Sect)
MOJO Collections stand approx. 11am Sun 25th November.
After just a handful of rehearsals, Subway Sect debuted at the legendary 100 Club Punk Festival on Monday 20th September 1976. Sex Pistols' manager Malcolm McLaren had suggested that Vic Godard and his mates (a bunch of south-west London soul boys, who hung out at Sex Pistols' gigs) should form a band to help swell the number of acts in a line-up that already included the Sex Pistols, and the Clash.
Subway Sect turned out to be one of the most original and innovative bands to emerge from the festival and went on to claim a rightful place as one of the top punk bands.

Keith Badman (Beatles author)
MOJO Collections stand approx. 1pm Sun 25th November.
Keith will be signing copies of his recent book ‘The Beatles Off The Record: Volume II: The Dream Is Over’ an impeccably researched volume of quotations from Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr following the Beatles break-up in 1970.
Badman’s previous book was unanimously hailed as the most comprehensive chronology of their lives after the group split. His latest book tells the stories behind the news, adding flesh to the skeleton of their post-Beatles lives.

Soho Music Rare Rock Poster Exhibition.
London’s Soho Music shop will holding an exhibition of it’s owners famous rock poster collection. This exhibition will feature many unique items including The Who “I Can See For Miles” UK psychedelic poster valued at £200; Pink Floyd “CIA UFO” UK psychedelic poster also valued at £200; The Move “July 11,Marquee” [1967] UK psychedelic poster valued at £600. Of interest to Hendrix fans will be a handbill for the Newport 1969, Devonshire Downs – valued at £100. The exhibition will feature further rare items by the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. The collection has never been displayed at a show before.
