R&B, Pop Artist Christina Bulatao Keeps Busy in the Studio, Breaks new Ground
(Mitchell, SD)-- After a summer busy with live performances and appearances, R&B, pop singer Christina Bulatao (Buh-lotto) is by no means taking a break. The end of summer has brought the beginning of two brand new CD releases.
The first release is a complete holiday CD that Bulatao is wrapping up. It features songs that most people may recognise. It also takes Bulatao somewhat away from her usual rhythmic pop style.
"This CD is a little different from the usual style I do. The songs are holiday classics that I wanted to really do in a standard way to show my respect for the music," Bulatao said.
She explains that for the holiday CD, she and producer Chad Sharp wanted to make a CD that people could listen to on Christmas morning and just enjoy the day.
"There aren’t alot of drums, or moving beats. It is a very classic sounding, laid-back record," Sharp adds.
The holiday CD should be ready for release in November of this year. It will be available through www.sharpmusic.com and www.mp3.com/christina
Another project that Bulatao is working on is the follow-up to her CD ‘Destiny.’ ‘Destiny’ was released in 2000 and has reached people around the world through the internet and also more conventional media.
"We had Mp3TV in Europe catch on to a video we did with ‘Destiny’ so we got some coverage overseas. We also were interviewed by Matt Pinfield for Farmclub.com," Bulatao said. "The number of people who responded online was great."
For her next full CD project Bulatao is once again working with producer and boyfriend Chad Sharp. The team has been working together for the past six years. They say that the new CD should be released sometime next year.
"We are doing a ton of new songs in the studio right now. After we get what we feel is a good number we will pick the best ones," Bulatao explains.
Once again you can expect some driving, funky pop R&B tracks and also some powerful ballads from Christina Bulatao.
