Quinke Networks Ready to Tap British Market

Hamburg-based games industry networking agency launches cooperation with British branding & PR specialists Character Communications
Hamburg, 02 July 2009: Great Britain – the birthplace of football and a driving force of the gaming industry. To build a bridge between the German and British markets is the declared goal of Achim Quinke, president of Quinke Networks and project director of the initiative gamecity:Hamburg. He knows the industry like the back of his hand and has now enlisted the help of London-based public relations specialists Character Communications to allow his clients to access the UK market more effectively.
“Great Britain is the gaming industry hotspot in Europe and a key market for our customers,” Achim Quinke points out. “This cooperation will give our clients a much greater degree of exposure in the British gaming press. By the same token, Germany is an increasingly important market for UK-based games producers, and in turn, Character Communications can rely on our extensive network to support their activities in Germany.”
Character Communications is an owner-managed agency and has been a player in the British market since 2007. Company founder Kristien Wendt has years of industry experience, and a client list which includes Reef Entertainment, TIGA, the developer Rebellion and a growing number of digital games companies in the UK and Europe. Public relations director Lucy Kamall joined the agency’s management team in 2008.
