Having made his name on the scene with his debut album �Hood Gazette�, Podgy Figures is back hitting the streets as hard as ever. Most Valuable Productions (www.mostvaluableproductions.co.uk) are pleased to present �Love is Love� the latest offering from west London�s most enterprising and charismatic MC.
Podgy Figures has been a member of the Most Valuable Productions since day one; �Church, the producer, started up Most Valuable Productions and we�ve been working hard together ever since.� Church, a well-known figure in the British music industry, hosts the mixtape �Love is Love�, a perfect platform for Podgy�s skills as his status rises in the music game.
This 18-track mixtape offers everything from the Channel U favourite �Podgy�, his first single �Rocked Up� and his latest single, �First You MC (Now You Rappin�)�. The production perfectly compliments Podgy�s gritty style and self-belief, while no artist is safe as everyone from 50 Cent, Vanilla Ice, Damian Marley and Kylie gets the Podgy Figures re-working.
Podgy uses clever rhymes to defend his claim as the best rapper on the scene today. �I�m not bragging, I�m just saying, what I�m hearing - I�m the best out here!� are Podgy�s words in his track �I�m Da Best�. �Podgy VS Omar� shows Podgy�s tongue in cheek romantic side, whilst �Do it For My People� featuring Jigga D & C Large goes deeper; �Everyone wants to rhyme like Podgy, I switch flows just in case you copy.�
Podgy�s street tales take us into London�s underbelly and his upbringing in west London which has been the biggest inspiration for his rhymes. His weapon of choice was a pen as eloquently portrayed in �Whatch Know� and �Understand Me�. �Dad� is a touching insight into the mind of a single parent family from the point of view of the child. He questions if life would have been different if his father had been around; �If daddy was around, imagine this, would I be I be cussing out my mouth, would I be strong like this?�
As the most pro-active MC on the scene Podgy set up Podgy FM as he explained to one magazine; �I gave my big break to myself, I set up a radio station (91.5 - Podgy FM) I put out my own mix tapes and spent time in the studio.� He remains fiercely independent with Most Valuable Productions, a label that allows him to express himself in his own unique way.
Versatility is the keyword when it comes to Podgy Figures. �Love is Love� is an all round hip hop fest offering an array of styles which leave nobody in doubt of his skills � In Podgy�s own words; �If it�s not Podgy, it�s dodgy!�
