Rebecca Richardson from Amber Models UK has clinched the prestigious Miss Norwich title amongst the drama and excitement at the annual beauty event organised by modeluk.com. Jura was recently crowned North Walsham Carnival Queen and had her debut photographic shoot with Amber Models UK to complete a sensational triple run.
Rebecca had previously contacted head of Amber Models, Andreas Yiasimi via a MySpace link asking for sponsorship for the Miss Norwich contest that initially sparked off her debut photographic shoot in Cromer on the North Norfolk coast. Rebecca's alias name on the world famous Amber Models website is Jura.
The Carnival Queen title was a surprise bonus and put Rebecca in good stead for the eventful weeks ahead. It's not the first time in recent years that faces from Amber Models have made the headlines, once again proving the crack promo team on the North Norfolk coast are competing with the big boys.
The Miss Norwich competition was held at Maid's Head Hotel, Norwich, and was organised by modelsuk.com. The evening reached fever pitch amongst all the drama and excitement as a top line of judges, Including Tiffany Tyler last years winner, prepared themselves before the start.
The order of the day was evening wear, sexy club attire, casual clothes and a dance routine. The contestant also had the chance to say why they entered the competition and how they would use the title if they won it.
Emotions ran high amongst the audience when the five finalists were announced and you could almost feel the tension in the air when all five contestants were called back to face the judges again. The mood inevitably changed and it turned out to be a real test of nerves.
When Rebecca was announced the winner she burst into tears of joy surrounded by photographers and a realisation that she would be competing for the Miss England title later on in the year.
Miss World is now the second most watched TV programme in the world, with 2.6 billion people tuning in from more than 140 countries.
