New Website Claims Something Original On Internet: You Can Be Creative Here

Added: (Mon Jan 23 2012)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Here’s the explanation: this site offers users the ability to place a photo of themselves or a loved one(s) over a movie-style background, and, using the site’s software, produce a poster or print that make it appear as though they were photographed that way in the first place—in short a first-class movie poster starring… you.

Up to now one’s options on the internet have been rather limited, with few if any opportunities to create or be creative. The creative side has been limited to the realm of purchased software, some with steep learning curves and price tags to match. This site is free, at least until one decides to make a purchase, and does allow the user a good deal of leeway to be creative. The site’s founders maintain that this is a unique idea: the chance to access their software, and to use it to do something artistic and creative. Extensive on-line searches lend credence to their claim.

At first glance the website’s app doesn’t appear too complicated, with a variety of buttons, tools and controls to allow the user to start by erasing the background from their imported image. Minor learning curve there. One has a variety of options after erasing the background, from making blemishes disappear, to sizing and positioning the imported image over the movie background. Brightness, hue and saturation are some other tools, as well as tools to provide titles and text to the poster.

Upon finishing a poster, there are a number of options for sale. A 24”x 36” poster is available ($49.95), as well as some smaller options, including an 8”x 12” file for printing at home ($9.95), and a 4”x 6” image is free for the first time ($1.99 thereafter), and easily posts on a Facebook page. All this is accessed via their website – as visually impressive as it is artistic – as well as easily navigated and intuitive. Take a look, see what you can create, and how it stacks up against the posters already on display at the site.
