Nashville Urban Pop artist Llynda More (www.mp3.com/llyndamore) is at it again. Back in April 2001 More took on the task of tackling the Baha Men and the Urban Pop chart at the popular Online Music Distribution site MP3.com. You’d think she’d be happy with her track record thus far: nine songs reaching the top 40 in seven different sub genres on the MP3.com Charts including #2 on the Urban Pop chart.. However “Llynda is not one to give up and stop short of her goal of overall #1 on the site” says CMAP President Bobby Bensley.

More’s recent release “If You Don’t Tell Yourself A Lie” has just begun to rocket up the main Pop chart at MP3.com where it currently is #17 ( #128 overall) and challenging such well know artists as Madonna, Robbie Williams, O Town, Bob Schneider and Sugar Ray for the top spot on the site.

Llynda More who is as beautiful as she is talented sings with a unique and emotional contralto voice. Writing songs in a Contemporary Urban Pop vein that are as appropriate coming from a home stereo as from a New York night club sound system, she takes her listeners on an emotional journey through the subconscious of toady’s young urban female.

Llynda exhibits a gift for lyricism and melody that many songwriters spend a lifetime pursuing and never attain. “Legs” examines the preconceived ideas of society towards women and delivers a strong and clear message that today’s woman will not stand by and accept the stereotypes of days gone by. The sleeper hit “What He Would Have Wanted” is a tribute to nonviolence and dissects urban violence with a clarity and honesty that is rarely seen in music today.

Keep your eyes on this diverse and multitalented artist as she rises above the din of Indie Pop music and topples a few giants along the way.
