Interested in adventure but no chance to do so? Feel excited to explore the mysterious dinosaur world? It's difficult for us to experience them, however, we could watch the adventurous movie instead. Land of the Lost is exactly the movie for us to experience the fantastic dinosaur world.
Space-time vortexes suck, unfortunately, Dr. Rick Marshall is sucked into one and spat back through time. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world--a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the "Land of the Lost."
Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly and a redneck survivalist named Will. Chased by T. rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestaks, Marshall, Will and Holly must rely on their only ally--a primate called Chaka--to navigate out of the hybrid dimension.
Escape from this routine expedition gone awry and they're heroes. Get stuck, and they'll be permanent refugees in the "Land of the Lost."
Land of the Lost is an American comedy film based on the 1974 TV series. The film grossed $7.1 million on its June 5 opening day, and was #3 at the box office.
The film finished its opening weekend in third place, behind Up and The Hangover with a total of $18.8 million, making it Will Ferrell's least-successful summer movie opening to that point. Critics largely panned the movie and box office receipts did not meet pre-release anticipation.
