Kylie Minogue's current single, Can't Get You Out of My Head, may have lost top spot in the BBC singles chart two weeks ago but is still the best-selling mobile phone ringtone by far, according to figures released today by mobile content specialist Ringtones Online.

Figures for downloads from the www.ringtones.co.uk site show that Kylie's single was the company's best-seller last week, with nearly 7.5% of total downloads. This is 50% more than Afroman's singles chart number one, Because I Got High, which replaced Kylie at #1 in the singles sales chart.

The company reports that the ringtone version of the Kylie song was their best-selling tone before the single reached number one in the charts, and has been one of the most popular chart music tones this year.

A Ringtones spokesperson said: "This shows that top-selling records don't always make an easily recognisable ringtone. The tone based on Kylie's single has been incredibly popular."

The top 10 ringtones downloaded last week are (previous week's placings in brackets).
