IMMAE Announces The Tito Ortiz Xbox Video Game Challenge

IMMAE announced today the return of Tito Ortiz and Punishment Athletics for a third year to the main IMMAE production in August 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition IMMAE and Punishment Athletics will be jointly hosting a video game challenge promoting fan interaction with Punishment fighters culminating in a few one on one games with Tito Ortiz himself.
Tito Ortiz and Punishment have supported and promoted IMMAE since 2007 when the event was produced under the trademark NAMMAE. Each year the Punishment fighters and Tito have been some of the biggest draws on the floor. Tito’s career does not end at the cage, and his exploits in ancillary activities including coaching on the Ultimate Fighter show and appearing on Donald Trump’s Apprentice show have capitulated him out of the fighter celebrity class into true stardom. This is reflected in the massive lines which form to see him and other Punishment fighters at the IMMAE show.
In 2008 Punishment hosted a highly successfully foosball challenge which culminated with direct one on one games with Tito and his fans. Tito proved to be a closet foosball professional and dominated all but the most ardent and skilled players. The energy it created for the fans watching, let alone playing Tito was phenomenal. In 2009 IMMAE and Punishment have teamed up again to bring that same feeling and energy back, but with the highly popular Xbox 360 Mixed Martial Arts video game offering.
Fans will challenge each other Saturday morning, August 29th vying for the top spots in the fan versus fan tournaments. The finalist will face Tito directly Saturday afternoon and the winners will be awarded a special prize by Tito himself. Based on the 2008 results we expect this Xbox video game challenge to be one of the crowd favorites of 2009.
