Pressbox (Press Release) -
Harmony Internet Limited has launched a powerful web-based system for online publication of magazines - Hot off the Web. The system allows publishers to create and update detailed information across a range of titles on the Internet. It is an easy to use, flexible product that adapts to a client's ongoing requirements.
The licence-based system can be used to produce multiple titles, but each magazine has its own unique style and branding. Automatic advertising functions are also included, allowing magazines to extend their services to include on-line banner ads and sponsorship boxes.
The system is designed to show a mix of "taster" print articles and exclusive web features on a regular basis to encourage regular readership, to increase online audiences and subscription of the printed version.
Jason Higgins, Managing Director of Harmony comments "Companies are taking a far more practical view of the web now, which has mean that products such as Hot off the Web will become increasingly popular.
The web offers great opportunity and scope for growth but publishers have been hindered by the high cost of entry to the medium.
Hot off the Web offers a very powerful architecture, flexible editing and unique styling at a very low investment level. Because it was designed in conjunction with magazine publishers, it is a very commercially focussed system, aimed at promoting and supporting the printed versions, rather than any long term replacement of them.
Magazine publishers can use the tools available to quickly build on brand strength and geographical spread, potentially recouping investment from day one using online advertising."
The system launches in September 2001 and prices start from just £299.00 per month.
