Honey to make acting debut
Added: (Mon May 27 2002)
Honey Kalaria, is currently filming her first ever Bollywood movie. Parts of the film have been shot around London and soon Honey will be flown out to Bombay to complete the filming. The film will be released internationally in December 2002.
“I’ve turned down a few film offers in the past playing opposite stars like Govinda, Sulman Khan and Sunil Shetty. This particular offer was great because quite a bit of the filming took place in London. I’ve got just one problem now – I’ve been bitten by the acting bug! Honey Kalaria, Director Diva Entertainments
Honey’s clothes and jewelry for the film were provided by companies Khubsoorat and Kyles Collection.
The Director, Laurence de Souza, who also made the film Arzoo and Sajaan, had the following to say:
“Honey is a great actress, an excellent dancer and enormous fun to work with. She brings real glamour and beauty to the set. I can see that she’s a huge star in the making. I certainly hope to work with her again in the future.”
Forty dancers from Honey’s Dance Academy and Agency also made an appearance in the film. Amongst them were Hazel Keech and Sunny Saujan from Ilford:
“It was a fantastic experience being in this film, but hard work! We were shooting day and night, weekdays and weekends. Sometimes we wouldn’t finish filming until about 2am in the morning. I’d like to become a full time dancer when I leave school so it’s something that I’ll certainly be adding to my CV. It was an honour to work with Laurence de Souza. My friends are very envious!” Hazel Keech, student Honey’s Dance Academy
