Pressbox (Press Release) -
The most historic recording by Evis Presley, the legendary 1953 acetate disc containing the songs, "My Happiness" and "That's when Your Heartaches Begin", is to be sold by a one time High school pal of Elvis, Ed Leek.
Elvis actually gave Ed the recording in 1953. It was not released commercially till 1990.
Retired airline pilot Captain Edwin S Leek, is now seventy four years old and hopes to see the, "Holy Grail of Rock 'n' Roll", go on display in a museum or important music venue where Elvis fans could see it, and perhaps hear the 18 year old, and very nervous Elvis, falteringly sing the beautiful songs.
"The Million Dollar Quartet", recorded 1956 at Sun studios with, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins, now has a million dollar rival.
Elvis all alone, strumming his acoustic guitar, and dreaming of success.
