ENTERTAINMENT ENTREPRENEUR NOMINATED FOR LLOYDS TSB JEWEL AWARDS

Pressbox (Press Release) - SOME OF THE BRIGHTEST STARS OF THE ASIAN BUSINESS COMMUNITY ARE TO BE RECOGNISED AT THE LLOYDS TSB JEWEL AWARDS, TAKING PLACE ON 7TH NOVEMBER 2009 AT LONDON HILTON, PARK LANE.

Kiran Sharma, MD of Kikit Ltd has been nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for her work in the entertainment business.

Launched in 2006, Kikit has earned an enviable reputation as being the go-to company for finding top flight celebrities such as Prince, Annie Lennox and Stevie Wonder for luxury clients such as Valentino aswell as charities like ARK and Save the Children. It is through this charity support that Kikit has raised over £39million for good causes.

Now in its seventh year, the awards will honour the achievements of the most talented individuals within the public and private sectors.

In addition this year, the evening will also acknowledge the challenges currently facing organisations and encourage discussion on how businesses can survive the current economic downturn.

Lloyds TSB representatives will be on hand to offer strategic advice to SME's, corporates and individual entrepreneurs to ensure that they are best placed to survive and thrive during these uncertain times.

Speaking about the event, Mrs Kamel Hothi, Asian markets director, Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, said: "For over half a century, the Asian community in Britain has been making a huge contribution to all aspects of life, not least the economy. Through our sponsorship of the Lloyds TSB Jewel Awards, we want to recognise the many achievements that make the community a source of inspiration to us all.

"This year has been a critical time for many businesses. Even in the face of current economic adversity, the Asian business community continues to set an example, inspiring the way forward and towards a more stable and secure economic future.

"Much of the Asian business community's success is due to their cultural and community values, networks and social experiences, which have made them more resilient and supported them throughout."

Judges of the awards includes entrepreneur and star of Dragon's Den James Caan.
