DRINK LEADS TO MOYLES MELTDOWN

Pressbox (Press Release) -
Top radio DJ, Chris Moyles, caused mayhem on Friday by inadvertently crashing the computer system belonging to pop band the Cuban Boys - famous for their Christmas 1999 chart-topping "Cognoscenti Vs Intelligentsia" - the "Hamster Dance Song".
The meltdown occurred when Moyles, widely regarded as "the saviour of daytime Radio One", broadcast a humorous feature on his afternoon show based upon a "fantasy drinking partner" poll located at the Cuban Boys' website www.drinkdrinkdrink.co.uk, a site which promotes the band's forthcoming single "Drink Drink Drink".
Within seconds of Chris Moyles mentioning the website, thousands of listeners scrambled to access www.drinkdrinkdrink.co.uk in order to add their vote in the poll. The Cuban Boys were completely unaware of the turn of events until they suddenly started receiving an uncontrollable flood of emails from the visitors to their site.
As Skreen from the Cuban Boys explains, "Within 20 minutes of Chris's feature we'd already had over 2000 emails, so many, in fact, that our system ground to a complete halt - it was amazing, just like a scene from a sci-fi movie".
However, rather than being unhappy with Chris Moyles's antics, the band are delighted "Chris has a massive audience and the influx of visitors to our site means that many, many people have suddenly had the opportunity to hear our 'Drink Drink Drink' single - the reaction has been quite overwhelmingly positive. If we see Chris Moyles, we'll definitely be buying him a pint!!"
The Cuban Boys' new single "Drink Drink Drink", based around a sample of Mario Lanza's classic vocal, has already been hailed by music industry magazine The Tip Sheet as "the singalong party track of all time". Now that the public's reaction seems to be reflecting that opinion, the future for the single looks very promising. As Ricardo from the band suggests "If our website alone can generate such a reaction, imagine what the track itself will do!".
