Creative Instincts presents ‘Sarah’ a gripping modern day drama about a runaway 16 year old girl, called Sarah Edwards. Sarah Edwards is played by talented actress 17 year old Janine Mason, and the story is written by 26 year old Steven Britton.
Sarah runs away from her abusive father only to fall into the arms of an even more dangerous character Simon Western a local entrepreneur who owns several nightclubs, whom she meets whilst she is on the streets handing out leaflets to earn money. Shortly after running away Sarah meets some tramps that befriend her whilst she is on the streets of Birmingham and look after her before her encounter with Simon, who takes her off the streets and into his dark world of drugs and prostitution.
Simon traps her into thinking he has genuine feelings for her but is only interested in exploiting her for his own gains. Sarah becomes drawn into his world of drugs and prostitution and she battles to control her addiction. Simon owes a significant amount of money to Murray Stone, the local crime boss of Birmingham. One of the tramps known only as Biff informs Murray Stone of Simon’s intentions to leave the country without paying back the money. This proves fatal for Simon and results in his death but provides Sarah with a means to escape the dark world that she is in.
