Every now and again a sound comes along that can't really be described, and Warrington band Liquid Blues definitely fit that description! The sound has been compared from the extremes of Hendrix and Zeppelin right through to Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys! and joint front man Mike Bee isn't complaining, "I like confusing people and the fact that people don't know how to describe us, it means were not stuck in the old cliché of sounding like someone else, we make music and the music that comes out is Liquid." It may come as a shock to people that the new Liquid Blues line-up is only two-months old and in that space of time they have averaged a gig a week! including the hugely successful White Hart Festival where they topped the bill with other local group 'Jazz Banned', "The festival was a buzz, we had a moshpit, on-stage dancers, and a fight outside the pub which all added to the atmosphere! we've grown quite a following in this town and our fans are great cause they always turn up to the gigs, were big believers in improvisation so they never know what to expect, as we never know either!"
So with the new line-up of Mike Bee, Craig David, Ian Bennett, and Random Monkey, Liquid Blues are ready to move further a field and inflict there sound in the Manchester and London areas, "we have already been barred from local venues round here, we want to see if some of the landlords are as fickle in other places, they just don't get it! It seems no-one can handle the power of the random monkey..."
