VIDEO WITH A DIFFERENCE

‘Babies Love Babies’ is the title of a new video for babies and toddlers. It is a video with a difference because, instead of featuring animated characters, it stars real-live babies of all ages doing what comes naturally – laughing, playing, eating, sleeping, exploring, hiding, peeping, rocking and rolling. Your baby will love interacting with his or her tiny peers, and you will love them being stimulated, educated and entertained, all at the same time.

‘Babies Love Babies’ is the original idea of Maria Brosnan, a first time mum who wanted something better for her daughter to watch. She explains: “I just didn’t like all those videos with puppets and cartoon characters, and I wanted something better for my little daughter, Charlotte, to watch. So I decided to make one of my own. I had learnt from watching Charlotte that at around six months, babies start to develop a sense of life outside themselves, and become increasingly interested in other people, especially other babies. And that’s why I made this video, full of images that babies love best – other babies. Charlotte loves it.”

Maria is a professional musician and she also wrote the music for ‘Babies Love Babies’. Working with TV composer Roger Bolton she has produced a beautiful soundtrack. It incorporates strong rhythm and sweet melodies with entertaining, amusing sound effects. Just the sort of thing that babies love to bounce to.

‘Babies Love Babies’ features babies aged between six weeks and 20 months with the emphasis on natural play and exploration with nothing staged or contrived. The idea is simple but one that any parent, carer or grandparent can see has endless appeal and stimulation for the tiny viewers.

‘Babies Love Babies’ helps parents in three different ways – it gives their baby something attractive and stimulating to watch, it offers ideas of how to engage with their baby and it gives them a few minutes to themselves to tidy-up or get dinner started!

For every video sold, Maria will make a donation to Refuge, the charity for families in crisis.
