BAND DAZZLES NYC CROWD WITH A BLOODY GOOD PERFORMANCE
As of July 18, 2007, BLOOD RED SUN became a Featured Artist on rising band-centric social networking website Reverb Nation. A visit to the Reverb Nation home page reveals a link to BLOOD RED SUNs profile, www.reverbnation.com/bloodredsun, where fans are encouraged to communicate with the band, leave messages, sample music, browse pictures and comment on BLOOD RED SUNs personal blog and video diary.
BLOOD RED SUN, highlighted as a featured artist, is part of a groundbreaking new partnership between Reverb Nation and Facebook that brings music to the pages of the popular social networking site for the first time. As users are prompted to create a personalized playlist, music from BLOOD RED SUNs debut album, A Nation of Saviors, is on display alongside music from Maroon 5, Feist and The Fratellis.
If BLOOD RED SUNs most recent concert (at New York Citys The Annex) is any indication, their upcoming show on July 26th is sure to captivate the crowds. Playing with a split finger, frontman Jason Nadeau, impressed (and perhaps grossed out) a room full of fervent, animated fans. In true Blood Red style, Nadeau powered through the full set - including an encore song - all while his own blood streamed down the pearly white guitar.
Just announced, BLOOD RED SUNs next live event is Thursday, July 26th. The concert is part of the ongoing Original Sessions Art House at the John Street Grill at New York Citys South Street Seaport. BLOOD RED SUN hope to use their new-found exposure via Reverb Nation to rally fans and increase support for the band.
Cashbox Magazine recently raved: BLOOD RED SUN are todays Afghan Wigsthe band draws some easy compression (comparison) to Interpol and EditorsThe music is tight and the vocal delivery is passionate, almost even more charming when singer Jason Nadeaus voice becomes uneven because of the power of his delivery. While the vocals shine, Blood Red Sun are a unit thats success is based around all parts of the band working evenly together.
