Amman, Adorned with the King’s Pictures, Jordanian Flags, and Decorations

The Mayor of Amman, Engineer Omar Maani, made a tour on Tuesday morning to keep in touch the various Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) departments and regions preparations for celebrating the tenth anniversary of H.M. King Abdullah the Second’s assuming constitutional powers, which was held on June 9, 2009.
Eng. Maani stressed the importance of the city of Amman appearing in its best image, indicating the developmental renaissance the Capital has witnessed during the reign of H.M. King Abdullah the Second, manifested in a multitude of achievements.
The Mayor stated, “The Greater Amman Municipality had the privilege of drawing guidance from H.M. King Abdullah the Second’s directives, and in the past years has witnessed huge progress in its accomplishments and in the excellence of the services it provides.”
Along these lines, the Mayor pointed out that His Majesty’s directives and visits to GAM has constituted a strong incentive and guide to result in one accomplishment after another in the service of the City of Amman, positioning it as an advanced city that provides comfort and stability for its citizens and visitors
Eng. Maani praised the efforts of all GAM cadres who worked around the clock for the past 2 weeks to organize the Kingdom’s celebrations of national holidays.
Within this context, GAM prepared a number of locations along the route of the Royal procession towards the main festivity site, erecting tents there and providing amenities for participating GAM employees and citizens, who flocked from the Kingdom’s various provinces to share in the demonstrations of joy and patriotism that included all regions of Amman and the main celebration at Al Hussein Stadium for Youth.
GAM also adorned the locations, streets, and key areas with pictures of H.M. the King and decorations, and hoisted Jordanian flags and banners expressing loyalty and love towards their Leader. GAM will also distribute pictures of H.M. the King and flags to participants so they can convey their delight at the occasion.
It is worth noting that the GAM Band for Popular Arts and a number of local bands performed folkloric dances (dabkat) and national songs and (ahazeej), expressing their love of their country and their loyalty to the Hashemite leadership.
