ARTISTS COME TOGETHER 4NOLA AT THE VIPER ROOM

Pressbox (Press Release) - LOS ANGELES - Adam's Attic, an independent, internationally touring power pop/rock band who relocated to Los Angeles when their homes were damaged by Hurricane Katrina, will headline a concert on November 7, 2009, at The Viper Room to benefit St. Bernard Project. The concert is part of a year-long series of 4NOLA fundraising events, which benefit St. Bernard Project, a not-for-profit organization that rebuilds houses for individuals and families who lost their homes due to Hurricane Katrina. Also performing at the concert will be Purple Melon, Thomas' Apartment, Jenni Alpert, John Clinebell, John Zay, and Willem & Dakota.

Pre-sale tickets for the benefit concert are $12.00 and can be purchased online at http://4nolabenefitconcert.eventbrite.com. Also available are tickets that include a bus ride to and from Orange County on the day of the show for $23.50. The event will also include a Silent Auction in the VIP Room featuring work by Justin Clark, Jonathan Good, Willem McCormick, and Daniel Quinonez.

The concert will feature two bands originally from New Orleans. Since their move, Adam's Attic has had the privilege to share their music in the "skylines and city lights" of Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Azores Islands, Greenland, Singapore, and Diego Garcia. The band sees this benefit concert as an opportunity to remind people about the enduring housing needs in the area and support the organization and volunteers who continually work to rebuild their hometown.

Willem & Dakota formed in New Orleans roughly ten years ago when Dakota Emerson (Michelle Gordon) joined the Willem McCormick band. After years of playing the New Orleans scene, the group was charmed by the enormously open-minded music scene and amazing weather of Southern California. The band specializes in upbeat, jangly guitar pop.

The St. Bernard Project is a grassroots nonprofit rebuilding organization whose mission is to remove barriers for families who want to return home. Liz McCartney and Zack Rosenburg founded the St. Bernard Project in March 2006 after volunteering in St. Bernard after the storm. During that time, they met many hardworking residents who were determined to move back home but lacked the financial resources to rebuild their homes. They returned to St. Bernard Parish in June 2006 and began working on their first client's home in August 2006. Since that time they have evolved into a thriving rebuilding organization that has helped over 250 families move back into their homes.
