He has served ECIL (Hyderabad), HAL (Lucknow) and Instrumentation Limited (Kota) as CEO for more than two decades.

He has professional experience in the field of defence electronics, process control digital instrumentation, broadband communication and convergence of ITC technologies. Due to this contribution, the prestigious “Mother India International Award” has been conferred to him alongwith “21st Century Millennium Excellence Award”. Another award “IETE-CEOT”(1994) was bestowed to him by Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) for his significant contribution in the field of Opto-Electronics in the year 2000. Dr. S.C. Gupta is Fellow Member-IETE, Member-IEEE, Member-AIMA. He has obtained professional experience of nearly 2 years in United Kingdom & Europe as faculty and electronics engineer. Further, he was conferred “Bharat Jyoti Award” for outstanding contribution in Electronics by Hon’ble State Minister of Railway and also “Rastriya Udyog Ratan Award” by Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, GOI in the year 2001.

He has more than 15 years experience in research and development. The R&D products designed by him are marketed in Europe and India having high quality. He has unique combination of research, teaching and corporate exposure which is a great specialty. He has supervised four students for the award of Ph.D. degree. In addition, he directed several international/national conferences on topics related to Engineering & Management in India, UK and USA. Prof. Gupta has published about 62 research papers in journals of international reputed conference proceedings. He is the author of the two books “Optical Fiber Communication” and “Opto Electronics Devices” published by PHI in the year 2005 and 2006.

He has 10 years of rich experience in reputed Engineering Institutes as Founder Director & Director. He has edited 06 technical books, organized 06 FDP’s and 4 Technical Fests etc. In the year 2009, he has been awarded “ Shiksha Bharti Puraskar” & “Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Education” alongwith Gold Medal by Hon’ble Governer, Dr. Bhism Narain Singh due to his outstanding contribution in Technical Education.
