The Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research differs from other educational research journals�and so it has for many years. What makes it special as a research journal is that it has not defined a narrow, restrictive educational field as the arena for its publication. On the contrary, the journal welcomes articles from all fields relevant to education and has no preferences concerning the author�s methodological choices, except quality.
