Teachers and Pupils at St Thomas First School Create their own web site

There’s great excitement at St Thomas First School in Exeter, Devon as they launch the school’s very own web site…..created by the teachers and children! The school web site can be seen at http://www.stthomasfirstschool.co.uk
Headteacher, David Pugh, said “Thanks to Exeter based ZyWeb, Ltd., St Thomas First School has been given the opportunity to produce and publish their own web site, which can be maintained and update easily by ourselves. The ZyWeb Page Builder enables novices to create a professional looking web site and it also includes the web hosting, easily customisable Graphics and a built-in photo editor. No software needs to be installed on the Schools computers”.
David Pugh also said “The school had been wanting its own web page for some time, but had always been reluctant to take the final step because of the lack of the relevant expertise, but with ZyWeb this was addressed easily. Having a web site would enable the school to effectively communicate with its own pupils, parents, Governors and teachers, as well as effectively promoting the school in the wider market - we know we have a good school here, and we want to tell everyone. The plan now is to develop and add to the site on a regular basis, which will include examples of children's work, as well as articles from parents, Governors and teachers”.
