Take RSA Training for Your Winter Career

March 10, 2010 – Queensland, Australia – AOT.edu.au – an accredited registered online training education centre, has offered the responsible service of alcohol (RSA), OLGR approved course for people who were planning to work in careers in Australia, particularly Queensland, that involved alcohol.
RSA training was one of the many short courses being provided by AOT, a required course when working in the entertainment, hotel and restaurant businesses, and casinos in Queensland.
Careers that required RSA training are food and beverage attendant, bar attendant, bottle shop attendant, restaurant or bar host or hostess, cocktail bar attendant, sommelier (wine steward), room service staff, glass collectors, and cellar hand. Having had an OLGR approved RSA training certificate determined how a person in a hospitality career provided proper service to customers when working in their chosen career.
By taking the RSA training course, people were able to get a deeper understanding of alcohol and the effects of alcohol to the body. They were able to obtain knowledge on liquor legislations and penalties of Australia and identified which customers were denied alcohol service. By having passed the RSA training course, they prepared and served alcohol responsibly to customers. They helped customers drink within the appropriate limit as well as assisted alcohol affected customers who drank too much alcohol.
At the end of each part of the RSA training course, a set of multiple choice questions were provided to evaluate the amount of information that was digested, and the ability to apply the information learned throughout the RSA training to various situations in any future workplace. Interactive activities such as multiple choice exams, audio content materials, and case studies were also provided throughout the course to complete the RSA training.
