Success for charity job board with Spangle Super Stars!

Added: (Tue Apr 14 2009)

A charity job board has seen fantastic growth in users since calling on volunteers up and down the country to get involved. The Spangle Super Stars Volunteers are all individuals who have decided to promote working for charity and in particular the services of a charity run job board called Spangle Jelly.

Owned and operated by a Hampshire-based charity, Learning Links, the Spangle Jelly project is focused on providing opportunities for advertising jobs in one place for all community, voluntary, charity and social focused jobs without cost being a barrier. James says “We wanted to offer something different; providing a service to those that can’t afford it and providing opportunities for the wide scale exposure that internet job advertising can provide for them.”

Simply getting the message out was the biggest barrier and so they decided to call upon active jobseekers to tell others about it. James at Spangle Jelly comments “We realised we had a great opportunity to make an appeal for volunteers off the back of a trend towards becoming more involved in charity and community work, increased prominence of social enterprises and government investment.”

The approach taken by Spangle Jelly has been so successful that the Spangle Super Stars volunteer programme is now being expanded to a national audience.
