HOW TO MAKE WRITING ASSIGNMENT INTERESTING?

Students always seek for creative and interesting ways of writing. The common concept associated with academic assignment writing is; they follow a traditional standard, format and style and are not even flexible enough to absorb any interesting changes in them.

SHOW AND TELL: A most fortunate assignment that can be practised at any level. The main charm of show and tell assignment is students bring any object f their choice and tells others about its aspects, benefits and characteristics. This can be practiced in another way, show any piece of writing to them and ask them to find their inspiration or interest in it and make them write about it.
CREATE A CHARACTER TO CONFESS A SECRET: Create a fake character and make a story of his/ her secret, then share it with your students. Ask students to write about their secret, the after effects of disclosing it and what possible benefits do they think one can get by disclosing a secret.
EXPLORING AD: It is a difficult task for beginners, which is followed up by grabbing a classified newspaper and select an ad from it. Create a short story from the advertisement and start researching about the company, the targeted audiences, and the motivating factors of it. Create your own comprehensive stories that suit the advertisement theme.
These are 3 consecutive ways to involve students in writing and researching by themselves. Such types of assignments are useful and interesting to write on and they build comprehensive skills for writing any type of assignment.
