WELCOME!!
Hello! My name is Shaun Jarvis. I am a qualified and experienced language teacher, specialising in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I hold a BA degree in Spanish from the University of Bradford as well as a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign (Second) Language (TESOL). I also hold a PGCE qualification and hold qualified teacher status in the United Kingdom. As all lessons are tailor-made for your particular needs, you can expect to make progress within a short period of time, focussing your study on any aspect of the language.

PERSONALISED LESSONS
Before your lessons take place, I will assess your needs and design a course for you. All lesson details will be agreed at this stage. You may want to practise grammar, conversation, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing or speaking. I can also help you to increase your vocabulary.

LOCATION
I provide lessons in all areas of London. I visit clients at their home, workplace or a public place such as a coffee shop.

AVAILABILITY
I am available from Monday to Friday from 8am until 8pm. Weekend lessons are available on request.

LEVELS
I teach all levels of English from Beginners to Advanced. I also prepare clients for examinations in English. I will assess your level in your first lesson.

EXAMINATIONS
I am able to prepare clients for the following English examinations:

Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Test of English as a Foreign Language (US-TOEFL)

ENGLISH FOR BUSINESSES
I often teach clients from businesses. I can travel to offices in London and fit lessons around busy schedules.

FEES
I charge £20 per hour. My lesson fee includes my travel expenses, lesson planning time, my teaching skill and the lesson itself. It does not include course books or dictionaries, however I will help you to obtain these. Lesson fees must be paid in full in cash at the end of each lesson.
