TV’s Boston Social Spotlights Cuisine

April 7, 2004 – Boston, MA Boston Social, a new television show produced by Deg.Com Communications, will interview celebrity restaurateurs Michael Schlow & Christopher Myers (Radius, Via Matta, Great Bay) as well as Upstairs on the Square restaurateurs Mary-Catherine Deibel and Deborah Hughes with regard to their extensive volunteer contributions to the American Heart Association’s upcoming Heart Ball.
“Schow and Myers are celebrities in Boston for good reason,” says host/producer Marisa D’Vari, formerly an entertainment executive in Los Angeles. “Their restaurants are like an E-ticket at Disneyland – delicious, well-executed fun!”
Also on the lineup this season are restaurateurs Mary-Catherine Deibel and Deborah Hughes of Upstairs on the Square. “Mary-Cat and Deborah are fun, lively women and generous contributors to the American Heart Association (AHA). Recently, they won an award for creating the “best red dessert” for the upcoming Heart Ball, to be held at the Westin Copley Place Boston on May 15th.
D’Vari, a professional member of the James Beard Foundation, is active on the Boston Social scene, contributor to leading cuisine and lifestyle publications, and restaurant/travel contributor to London’s Financial Times.
