Stylish home furniture: 5-metre long tables made from one piece of wood

With more and more houses opting for open-plan living, finding a table long enough to fill a space can be difficult. Noble Designs exclusively offers two tables ¨C the Buchanan and the Barban - that allow the customer to decide the size of their table. The Buchanan can be as long as 5m in oak and
3.4m in walnut or zebrano, while the Barban can be made up to 3.4m in any of the three woods. The tops are made from a single piece of wood and with no joins.
With their solid construction and deceptively simple designs, the Buchanan and Barban dining tables bring together the sharp eye of the skilled designer with the craftsmanship of a highly experienced woodworker.
Each piece of wood that the table is made from is individually chosen for its premium qualities. Due to the extremely high standards involved, only 2% of the total pieces are chosen.
The beauty of the Buchanan and Barban dining tables is that they can be made according to your personal preferences with regards to the size, wood and finish. Choose from:
¡ñ durable oak (with its five finishes: clear, overcast, grey stain, white paste, or wenge brown);
¡ñ strong, dark walnut (in three finishes: clear, natural and walnut-colour);
¡ñ or strikingly beautiful zebrano.
The Buchanan and Barban tables can be made to almost any size you want ¨C from the standard 90cm (w) x 180cm (l) to as wide and long as 120cm (w) x 500cm (l) in oak (for the Buchanan) or 340cm (l) in walnut or zebrano. The top is made from one piece of wood. What¡¯s more, it is also a generous
4cm deep. Longer tables can be made with joins in.
The tables have been so designed as to allow more leg room beneath the top. Leg room on standard tables is 62cm whereas on these tables it is approximately 72cm ¨C a blessing if you have long legs or just like to sit with crossed legs.
The Buchanan and Barban tables are a clever marriage of design ingenuity and technical brilliance. They make a clear design statement and are highly practical at the same time. But they don¡¯t have to be reserved for domestic dining areas. Restaurants and boardrooms can also benefit from these
beautiful pieces.
Both designs come with a ten-year warranty as testament to the stringent tests and quality checks performed throughout the production process. All the wood used comes from sustainable sources.
A coffee table, bench and console table are also available in the Barban range and a coffee table in the Buchanan range.
