Stay Safe, Be Seen – Free Road Safety Reflective Stickers for Schools

Added: (Fri Nov 03 2006)

Pressbox (Press Release) - November 2006 – With the clocks going back, schools across the UK are being offered the chance to receive free reflective stickers for their pupils as part of the Carrentals.co.uk Road Sense 2006/7 campaign.

Carrentals.co.uk, the UK’s leading online car hire company, is offering the reflective stickers for the third consecutive winter following growing demand for them from both schools and parents. To date the company has distributed over 100,000 stickers to schools across the country and this year Carrentals.co.uk is expecting demand to be even higher.

The stickers are being offered free to schools that apply online through www.carrentals.co.uk/roadsense. The offer is part of the company’s new Road Sense 2006/7 campaign, which is designed to promote safety on the roads throughout the winter months.

Richard Game, Chief Operating Officer of Carrentals.co.uk, said: “With the clocks going back and winter upon us we wanted to encourage schools to take action over child road safety. Dark nights, combined with potentially treacherous driving conditions, add to dangers on the road. By offering our reflective stickers free of charge we hope to help protect children and build awareness among drivers, parents, schools and the children themselves about the importance of road safety.”

The yellow reflective stickers are designed to stick on school bags, blazers or coats to help ensure children are seen by motorists and reduce the risk of accidents.

To apply for Road Sense stickers schools should visit www.carrentals.co.uk/roadsense and apply online. This offer is subject to availability.
