Spotty Boxes Launches New Concept in Gifts
On 6 May 2008 Spotty Boxes is launching a new concept in gifts. Beautifully packaged collections of presents carefully selected for people with hobbies and interests.
There are gifts for golfers, cat lovers, gardeners, chefs, dog lovers, wine buffs and others.
Every year billions of pounds (1) are wasted on buying unwanted presents. Choosing gifts for friends and families based on their hobbies and interests helps to ensure that a gift is really appreciated.
Caroline Blatchford, MD, foresees that customers will be wowed by the convenience of choosing a collection of gifts in a box, “When you are busy, it is all too easy to buy predictable gifts such as chocolates, flowers or vouchers. Spotty Boxes provide a great alternative. Simply choose the most relevant hobby or interest, select a box and place your order – we’ll do the rest.”
A theme which has been particularly well received is Gardening Gifts especially the Garden Gift Set for Women which includes a funky but practical gardening apron, a tool belt, gloves, kneeler, trowel and fork, seedling plant pot maker and a fantastically floppy traditional gardening hat in pink.
Each of the specially chosen sets of gifts arrives stylishly packaged in a striking spotty box tied with organza ribbon. Opening a Spotty Box is a truly special experience.
As well as looking beautiful, the packaging has been chosen to minimise the impact on the environment. The spotty boxes are made from glossy, rigid cardboard and are intended to start a new life as storage or keepsake boxes once the gifts have been removed. Where possible, the Spotty Boxes team minimise the impact on the environment by choosing packaging products which are biodegradable or can be recycled. One of the products which is being used is biodegradable bubble wrap developed initially for the fruit industry - easily spotted by its pale green tint.
As well as gift sets, Spotty Boxes, also offers single items with the emphasis on unusual and innovative products. Innovative products in the Gardening section include a CD-Rom Plant Selector and Pruning Guide featuring 3,500 plants with over 9,000 photographs and luxury men’s and women’s gardening watches with Swiss quartz movement.
