Preloved Hits the Big Screen

Pressbox (Press Release) - 13th September 2001 - Preloved Classifieds (http://www.preloved.co.uk) have discovered that they are becoming a haven for buying and selling famous movie props.


One of the items to be found is the actual car that was driven by Vinne Jones in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The car is a 1974 Rover 3500 P6 V8 Saloon in Lunar Green.

In the film the car was eventually smashed up by Vinne Jones into a Ford Granada Estate. After the movie, the car was purchased from an auction in Exeter and then fully repaired. It was used for about a year and then sold to its present owners in March 2000.

The current owner, Helen Amigo from Devon, is now looking for people interested in buying this piece of British movie history. “Unfortunately the car was never used very much because the driver was in the Navy and was not here to use it. Its present condition is classed as Grade 2, needing a bit of TLC”.

Preloved also have an ambulance for sale that was used in a low budget horror movie called “Evil Elvis” which has been promoted at the Cannes film festival.


Andy Prendergast the owner of the Ford Transit ambulance from Oxford says “I need to get rid of it as it is taking up valuable studio space which I need for my new film which I will be directing in the summer called “Dead of Night”.
