OCTOBER 14 2006: Pelham & Talbot, purveyors of fine foods to the catering industry will launch the retail side of their business with a new online shop, offering local fresh meat and seafood for delivery direct to the home.
Based in the seaside town of Great Yarmouth and having had over 100 years experience in supplying the catering industry this innovative company made the decision to launch their fine food retail business online to the benefit of the UK rather than just in the high street.
The emphasis is on fine local produce, some cleverly packaged into suggestive Hampers from ‘Connoisseurs Choice’ containing a selection of gourmet meats to ‘Old Fashioned Favourites’ with cuts reminiscent of your Grandmothers cooking.
There is appeal for a wide selection of consumers not only with the range of products but also the pack sizes.
“There is such a wealth of exceptional produce available in East Anglia, we have Game from estates in Norfolk & Suffolk, freshly caught Cromer Crabs, Norfolk Turkey, it’s endless. We wanted everyone to have the opportunity to taste these local delicacies but with such a poor infrastructure to the East, accessibility is difficult. Hopefully we have overcome this and with so many superb local producers we will be constantly expanding our range” said Susie Twiggs, Director.
