North East England - Give it Away! recycling scheme

Added: (Mon Nov 21 2005)

The UK currently struggles to dispose of all it's unwanted goods, with landfill sites rapidly filling up. Everyone has unwanted items in their home and they will tend to just throw them away. But what about giving them away? That's where The North East Forum : Give it Away! comes in.

Give it Away! is a scheme run by The North East Forum discussion board, where any member can advertise their unwanted items to those who may want them. The primary rule is that everything must be free! Instead of throwing away items you don't want, make them available to those who may want them.

You must be a member of The North East Forum to participate in this scheme and all arrangements are made privately between the owner and taker. It's simpler than some of the other schemes around, and is therefore easier to adminster and run.

If you live in the County Durham area and have things to dispose of, consider making it available on The North East Forum : Give it Away! pages and help with recycling our unwanted items rather than sending them to landfill.
